Hello Everybody from the United States of America. I have officially made it safely home after having my first flight out of Manila was delayed and then had to wait over 8 hours for a new flight to China. China was having a typhoon so we were unable to leave and get on a plane to Manila. Then we finally got to China and had to get a new flight because the old one was delayed. Then I had to reschedule a new flight in LA onto my last way home. After all that I made it home and was exhausted seeing how I was traveling for over 48 hours. Now its time to rest and process. It will take time to readjust to life here in the states. Life in the Philippines is so very different and culturally it quiet the opposite of the US. I am excited to see what is in store for me and this new semester ahead. I will be sending out update letters to everyone within the next few weeks. So everyone can get a whole summary and synopsis of what happened over in the Philippines. Thank you for your continued support and prayers!:)

Well today is my last day on the UPD campus. It is very sad to think that the time has flown by so quickly. I have come to enjoy the time here with the students. They have such fun spirits and a wonderful hearts for God. I have been thinking back to how I have been use here and I know that there are so many ways, just my presence here is something, but the first thing that came into my mind was the fact that I have been able to share my testimony over 4 or 5 times in the last 4 weeks. That's amazing! My mind is blown how many are receptive to just talking about life and then I can share what God has done in my life. Coming here to the Philippines has really made me secure in my story and that it really is very evident of what God had done in me. Before I came on this trip I thought my story was just a story of one of those typical kids who grew up in the church and has always know God but yet it is so much more than that. God has changed my heart so much since I accepted Him into my heart when I was in 3rd grade at church camp along with growing up and maturing.
I have been so blessed to be here and see the heart of His people even in the Philippines. This cross cultural experience has been amazing and definitely eye opening. Please continue to pray for students here and that the ministry would continue to flourish and be able to bring in freshman. It is a very hard task. Tomorrow the students are throwing a party for the short team students, me and my team, at nav headquarters so we can all get one last hooray together. It will be a bittersweet time. These students all hold a special place in my heart for ever.:)
Some other pray request, please pray for me and my team and we go on a R&R trip together and debrief together of all we have done and what God has done and shown us. We will leave Sunday for 3 days then we will be leaving Thursday at 630am from Manila. I will probably post one more time before I leave and then back to America! Thanks you for your continued support and prayers. God bless!!;)

The weeks have flown by. It is so crazy I only have one more week in my ministry and then I am headed to debrief with my team by a volcano. That will be so amazing to see because I have never seen one.
Since this is my last week in the my ministry it is both sad and also exciting. It has been so awesome to build relationships with the students and see how God's presence in me has been the biggest impact here. I have been learning so much about cultural differences. About how the gospel is shared here with building relationships instead of how we do it in the states with being so straight forward and just ask to share the gospel with someone. I have been so blessed with wonderful friends here. I am going to be sad to leave them. I know when I come home in two weeks I will be processing and God will continue to show me things that I didn't realize He was doing while I was here!
A few updates about last week are that I had an opportunity to share my testimony of who I am in a freshman communications class. I was so nervous to share how God has worked in my life of my true identity in Him alone and how my past or the choices of someone else does not define me. These students were only 15 or 16 so I was at least 4 years older than them and I was so intimidated by them. But God was so faithful and helped me talk to those students and they were so receptive with questions and commentary. It was so wonderful to see them be inspired. Then also I was able to be taken around on Saturday by a Canadian long term missionary here halfway through his 4 year term to see the historic part of Manila. He spoke Tagalog so he knew how to get around. We started at one end of he island in the morning then 9 hours later we were in the other side. It was so much sight seeing, but it was an adventure.
I have enjoyed the Philippines so much. It really is the people that make it. They really are so welcoming and willing to share their lives with you. I have learned so much and am continuing to learn so much so thank you for all your continued prayers and support! And until next time God bless!:)

Hey everyone sorry I have not posted in like ten days. It has been crazy around here from running to the hospital and going to a navs bonding trip to Los Banos this weekend with the UPD students, It has been super busy. Unfortunately, my teammate Jacque was taken to the hospital on Friday July 6th. They thought she had dengue fever but she didn't. Thank the lord. But she is still sick and resting and not sure of her mono came back again. I am on my own at the UPD campus while Jacque stays at nav headquarters and rests and tutors one of the local edgers with English. It has been a hard last five days with having to depend on the Lord and look to him to be my strength. Trying to help control the situation with Jacque was hard for me because I couldn't and that's all I wanted to do, get answers. But the Lord wanted me to rely on Him to take care of her. He had bigger plans that I could not see.
Now that I am the only one on campus it is challenging with really making an effort to talk to people and really practice those small talk skills I know I have in me some where deep down inside. The common theme of my life right now is total dependence on the Lord always with my plans for my day to who I should talk to. After I experience these last two weeks on the campus I know that I will come back even more dependent on Him alone. He is an awesome God who is always with me and never leaves me.
Even though I am alone on campus during the day at night I am with Rachel and Karla staying at SEND now when they go to Samaratana during the days. So I have some american friends to debrief with at night. So glad God aloud that to work out so we could have each other and that we weren't all separated. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Please pray for total dependence on the Lord along with strength for Jacque in this time of physical weakness that God can give her strength. I know God is working here in the Philippines with me and His people. I am loving the Philippines so much!!:)

This past week on campus has been such a new adventure and learning to really depend on God while learning to understand why and how God will use us here. This past week we had an opportunity to share in the Navs director engineering class about why we are hear and the ministry we will take part in. Professors here are aloud to proclaim the gospel and share their faith with their students, unlike in America.
We had our first women's bible study on Thursday with two of the girls from campus. The women's ministry here is very small compared to the men's which out numbers them by at least 10. The girls are ready to learn more about God which is so encouraging to see. We then were able to have a game night at the place we are staying on Thursday night as well. It was so much to laugh with the students and just have fun.
Last night we were able to go to the Navs headquarters here and hear from the Bangladesh missionaries an how their ministry is going there. It is so awesome to see God working in other cultures and how they share the gospel and have a heart for the nations as well. It was a good time with food and fellowship.
I am excited to see what God has for us this next week. We will be planning a women's get together time on Monday's with discussion topics, food, and crafts. Tomorrow we will be back Nav headquarters for a night to hangout with our team and rest. I can not wait to hear what God had done in my teams life and His ministry with them. Please pray for rest an renewal on God. Also Please pray that women would come and that they would feel welcome. Thank you for your continued support and prayers. Thanks:)

It has been raining for the past two days! I went out today to go out to get out and have prayer with Jacque at Zen Tea and it was pouring but we had to leave, so we walked in the pouring rain for 10 mins with our umbrellas that did nothing for us so we were soaked. But the scary was that the roads are flooded here from the rain because they do not have a drain system. It was experience of ok it's just water. Next time I am for sure bringing my rain coat with me.
Yesterday Jacque and I moved into SEND which is an international Christian housing designed for short term missionaries. So it's awesome to be living with Christian from all over the world who come here to show Gods love. So we will be living at the SEND house Monday night thru Sunday morning and then back to Nav headquarters for team bonding and sharing our weeks experiences. It will be so rewarding to go back and share about what we have been all doing and what God has been showing us through our different ministries. Please pray for unity when we come together and for restful rest during that day and night with our team.
Starting today is our first day at the campus. Yesterday we were shown around the part of Manila we are staying and the campus. Tonight is Nav Nite with worship, fellowship, and a message from the director of Navs here. We will be learning about faith, hope, and love in a mini series throughout the four weeks of ministry here at the UPD campus. I am excited to start building relationships with the students and sharing stories about our faith together. Please pray for opportunity of vulnerability and friendship with the students.
Then throughout the week we will have opportunities for events to invite and talk to non Christians and build relationships with them. Also I will have a opportunity to disciple a girl while I am here and she is a psychology major as well so we will have that in common. Then we will also have two women's bible studies throughout the week that we will attend. What is wonderful about being able to stay t SEND which is close to campus is we are aloud to invite students over for hanging out with game nights and snacks. Please pray that it is an opportunity for many people to come and feel welcome and fellowship.
I am excited to see what God has in store for us. I know that our schedule will be a lot of us having to be flexible and be diligent with our time how God wants us to use it. Please pray for that! Thank you for your continued prayer and support! God Bless!

Hello from the Philippines! I am here with my team and we have just been acclimating to the time change and food. It has been an experience and a whirl wind of emotions already. When we first arrived here at one am in the morning of the 19th we went straight to where we were staying at navigators headquarters in Manila, Philippines. Then our first day in Metro Manila was tiring but so great. We went to One of the University of the Philippines to see the campus and start talk to student right of the bat and get the experience of sharing God with the students. It was different than sharing God with people in the America. But it was so eye opening to see the universities here in the Philippines. To go to the Universities here it only cost 20 dollars a semester. Which was so shocking to me because that is not that much but it makes sense in correlation to how much the cost of living is here. Then we went on to see the slums and wow what an experience that was. It just broke my heart to see how many people are in poverty here. The people in the slums were so wonderful and welcomed us with food. The children were so drawn to us and just loved it when we took there pictures. Then later we went to the Nav Nite with worship and a sermon at the University of the Philippines Diliman. The students there were so welcoming and open and fun to hangout with. They loved to play games an learn all about us. It has been a crazy couple of days and God has been showing me where I want to invest in people here and what I will be growing in. My team and I have been having some great time of bonding an learning so much about each other. Tomorrow is our first day to go out and start sharing with the students at UPD with Jacque. She and I will me mainly at that campus while the other four are at other places in Manila investing as well. I am so excited to see what God does with us and the students. Please pray for protection and the preparing of hearts of the students we will talk to and spend time with. My heart is so full of joy to be here and be able to spread His love! Thank you for all your continued support and prayers!!:)
